BJPT serving those in West Michigan, along the Lakeshore, and in Holland
You are an individual. Your habits, lifestyle and injuries are just as individual as you are. That's why I begin with a thorough assessment of your condition. Together we will examine what contributes to your pain and find ways to free you from the bondage of discomfort, pain medication and invasive procedures.
Most patients find a variety of physical therapy treatments support both short-term and long-term healing. This is what we offer.
Physical Therapy
General orthopedic with a manual therapy focus. Physical therapy treats all parts of the body and allows patients to return to their previous functioning level. Patients are treated with manual work to reduce pain and muscular tightness. This allows the body to accept the exercises that we then teach the patient.

Headache Treatment
Headaches are more prevalent than most people think. There are multiple types of headaches that are treatable with focused physical therapy. The goal is to reset the muscles and postures that cause headaches and keep patients from needing pain medication.
TMJ Pain Treatment
Facial and jaw pain can be one of the most painful and limiting issues people encounter. Specialized manual treatments allow the muscles in the face and neck to improve while reducing pain and dysfunction in the jaw itself.
Postural Restoration
Postural Restoration (PRI) is a treatment style that focuses on the diaphragm and its positioning and how that influences the entire body. It looks at the whole body, not just a single joint or muscle area and how that specific joint is affected by the body's positioning and postures.
Dry Needling
Dry Needling is a treatment method that helps shut off trigger points in your body and improve pain and inflammation. This is not acupuncture. The focus of dry needling is to create a response in the body once the needle is inserted. This allows the trigger points in the muscles to release. It is highly effective for headaches, TMJ issues, chronic pain, tendonitis, and musculoskeletal issues.
Home and Office Ergonomics Assessment
Posture plays a pivotal role in our body's health and, more likely, its pain and limitations. Poorly set up workstations can lead to fatigue, muscle tightness, carpal tunnel, headaches, eyestrain, lower back pain and many other issues. A professional assessment of your workspace (both at the office and home), followed by changing the necessary items, can significantly improve your pain, fatigue and, ultimately, your productivity.
